Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas!!! This is my first hot Christmas! We went to a Chilean church for mass with my new friends and their family, and Melinda, John and Amelie. Then we went back to their (the new friends') house for dinner, but didn't end up eating until 12:30 or so. Then everyone opened up their gifts and had dessert. We didn't leave their house until 4:30a.m.! There was a time we went up to Camila's (one of our new friends) bedroom, and just lay there and started throwing pillows at each other, we were soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo tired!

Then we went home to John and Melinda's house and went right to bed! When we woke up we opened presents, then just hung out. After lunch we went to the pool. It was a lot of fun to swim on Christmas Day!

After being at John and Melinda's house we left for ours. When we got home Roxy and I were surprised to see gifts from our grandma and auntie. We opened them up to find beautiful shirts, candy, books, and more! It was a lot of fun!

I missed Christmas back home, but had a great Christmas in Chile!

Living In Chile

I am in Chile!!!! I miss everyone soooo much!!!! But as much as I miss everybody I am so surprised at how fast I'm learning Spanish, making friends, and getting into the Chilean life. My sister and I are being home schooled by my dad, and soon will be going to a school. It feels really strange having such a warm Christmas, well anyway Feliz Navidad!!!!
Also it is different living in an apartment, but that I got used to quite quickly actually. I love our location cuz we have a big park right next door, and it is always having huge parties!!!! Like Roxy(my older sister in the picture she's wearing the blue shirt) says in her blog it is quite the hot spot!!! When we first got to Chile a party was going on called Fiestas Patrias, The Chilean Independance day.
Also my mom & dad have gotten to be great friends with another family doing an exchange program (Amelie, in the picture is their baby). We have done lots of outings with them like we went to a place called Yerba loca, along with all the other people that have Fulbright scholarships. We have also done a bird-watching trip with them, and will be spending Christmas Eve and part of Christmas Day with them.
My family and I have also done a bike ride in the desert, and two other bird - watching trips. We have been very busy!!! I can't wait until summer break (winter break for everyone in the US) cuz we hope on doing lots of traveling!!!
Merry Christmas!!!! And Happy New Year!!!!!
