ENGLISH SUMMER TOWN!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got back from a place called English SummerTown. Here's what we did there.
Well my mom was teaching there, only she was teaching teachers. I know it sounds a little confusing but teachers apply to go there and all the Fulbright teachers teach them stuff they can do in their classrooms. It was a lot of fun, there was a big swimming pool and we went swimming almost every day! The Ranft Doody Familia (my Family) and The Heiner Familia (John, Melinda, and Amelie) shared a cabana (cabin). Our cabana was the the party cabin! Also as you will see in the pictures my mom, dad, sister, and I taught "American Square Dancing and Popular Line Dancing" to over 50 teachers! It was a lot of fun! Roxy and I were mainly in charge of the "Casper Cha Cha Slide" and the "Electric Slide", but I also had to demonstrate the Square Dancing. I think all the teachers had a good time doing that.

They had really good vegetarian food for my dad, and me. Also, some of our friends found a scorpion in their cabin. We were always up really late singing, watching movies, dancing, or just talking.

Also there was a lady there that looked identical to the President of Chile (the picture of the lady making the speech). So all the teachers would take pictures with her, and once people were pretending to be her body guards and would hover over her and say "make room for President Michelle Bachelet"! It was really funny, and at the end of SummerTown she said "I'm sorry but my name is Julia". So then all the people started calling her Julia Bachelet!

I had to help my mom a lot with her presentation. I was in charge of her power point. Also, I saw a presentation on Chicago and it felt really weird looking at places that I remember standing right next to.

Now,
this summer is going to be really really really really really really really really really really (you get the point) busy! On Monday my mom's friend Judy and her friend Joe are coming to Santiago, we are going to Chillan and then all the way to Chiloe Island. Then when we get back from there, my family and I might go to San Pedro de Atacama (the Desert). After that, Roxy's friend Catherine and her mom, and her brother are coming. We are going to Mendoza, Argentina.

Then,
my Aunt Sally, cousin Jessie, cousin Lucas, and Nana (my grandma) are coming!!!! And we have a special trip planned for then. Next, my really good friend Ashely and her mom, and her sister who is Roxy's friend are coming. And since they are only coming for about a week, we are just going to show them around Santiago, and go on some nearby excursions. I can't wait till she comes!!!

After that trip my mom, Roxy, and I go back to school.

Happy (late) New Year!!!

Hey, I have been really busy that I haven't had time to write on this blog!!!!

Here's what we did for New Years!

My Dad was watching the Chicago Bears play football. But they were doing HORRIBLE!!!! So we left, and decided to go to Alameda (the center of Santiago). There they had a big party. The street we were on (which was a big street) was cut off so people could stand there to watch the fireworks!

When it was midnight people started shaking bottles of champagne and letting it burst open onto all the people!!!! Roxy and I got little bags of confetti to throw at everyone (which stuck to your hair) when it was 12:00! The fireworks lasted sooooooooooooooo long! At least 30 minutes! It was a lot of fun!
Then we walked allllllllllllllllllllllll the way home! It took FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had a great New Year!!!
Cheers!
